Booking Conditions (Terms and Conditions)

Thank you for choosing to stay at one of Experience Augusta’s managed properties in beautiful Augusta, Western Australia. Bookings for short-term holiday accommodation are accepted by Experience Augusta ABN 78 490 761 096, as “the Booking Agent” on behalf of the Owner of the Property and to which the following terms and conditions shall apply:

THE BOOKING – This booking is subject to the following booking conditions. Confirmation of the booking is a binding contract between the guest and the owner of the property. This document needs to be read carefully. A deposit is required within 48 hours to confirm your booking. Please check your booking dates.

We will issue you an invoice which can be paid by BPAY or credit card ( credit card fees apply).

DEPOSIT – A 50% deposit is required to confirm all bookings. A receipt will be issued. The full tariff rate is payable for bookings under 28 days. You will be automatically invoiced for the balance 28 days before your arrival date.

FINAL PAYMENT – Full and final payment of the tariff is required at least 28 days prior to the commencement of the holiday.

SECURITY BOND – a refundable security bond of $400 (this differs on some properties) is payable by credit card 7 days prior to your arrival date. Once paid your directions and key code will be forwarded. The bond will be refunded back to your credit card within 3 -7 working days after quests vacate. Your full bond will be forwarded provided there are no damages, excess cleaning or other expenses incurred. PLEASE NOTE

The Guest authorises us to take funds from the security bond to cover the Booking Agent or for any costs or expenses, damages or other losses arising from the booking, including extra cleaning if required. Your bond will be processed for refund within seven days of departure generally via the method used to pay the bond.

CHANGES TO HOLIDAY BOOKINGS – Where bookings have been confirmed with a deposit and a request for change has been made in writing, the Booking Agent will if possible, accept these changes and charge a $55 administration fee. 

UNDERAGE GUESTS – We do not accommodate groups of unaccompanied minors or school- leavers.

NUMBER OF GUESTS – The number of guests occupying the property for the duration of the appointed dates must not exceed the number specified on the booking form. Should there be any changes to the number of guests the Experience Augusta MUST be informed. Failure to do so may result in extra tariff or cancellation of the booking, or bond forfeiture.

The base accommodation rate is per 2 persons utilising one bedroom.  Extra use of Bedrooms incur an $30.00 additional charge.  Extra guests are charged at $30.00 per person per night. This will be deducted from your bond unless otherwise notified. Extra guests are not permitted under the shire licence. Please refer to guest information folder for further information.

Properties are licensed to accommodate only the number stated in the Property description. Guest numbers are under no circumstances to be greater than that appearing on the Guest’s booking confirmation. If the number of people occupying the Property is greater than the number of people on the booking confirmation or if extra beds or bedrooms are used, the Booking Agent and Owner reserve the right to refuse occupation and/or result in the security bond being charged for extra amenities used or forfeited in full at the agent’s full discretion.

Tents, Caravans & Campervans are prohibited on the property & may result in eviction & loss of security bond.

EXTRA GUESTS – Extra guests not reflected in the reservation will be charged at a rate of $30 per guest per night. Please inform us of any extra guests you wish to add to your booking. If the booking is for 2 people and the guests want the use of a second bedroom, an additional fee of $30 per booking will apply for use of that bedroom, which can be paid on arrival.

BEHAVIOUR – It is the responsibility of all guests to behave in a manner not to cause any damage, offend neighbours or create additional cost to the owners or Booking agent. Any complaints may lead to additional expenses; these additional costs may lead to extra charges via credit card or forfeiture of the bond.

CANCELLATION POLICY – A $110 flat fee will be charged by Experience Augusta to change or cancel a booking on top of individual home owners cancellation policy. All fully or partially paid direct bookings that are cancelled because of Covid restriction will be fully refunded at no charge. Guests must refer to third party booking platforms eg Airbnb, Booking.com, Expedia and Homeaway for their cancellation policies. All booking made via Airbnb, Booking.com, Expedia and Homeaway must be cancelled via that platform.

If the cancellation occurs less than 30 days from the scheduled arrival date, the amount paid is non-refundable and will be forfeited unless the property can be re-let for the entire period, in which case a cancellation fee of $55 will apply.

Comprehensive Travel insurance with a reputable insurance company to cater for any unforeseen circumstances beyond the Guest’s reasonable control for e.g. accident, ill health etc, is recommended by the Booking Agent.

DOGS & PETS – No pets are permitted. Some owners will allow pets by arrangement. There is one off $80 pet charge to be paid where applicable. There are Pet House Rules. The following houses are pet friendly:-  Storm Bay View , Tea Tree Cottage, Colourpatch Studio and Augusta Beachfront Accommodation.

CHECK IN & CHECK OUT TIMES – Check in is 3.00pm and check is 10.00am unless otherwise arranged and confirmed.

KEYS – Key codes will be made available upon final payment and sent via email, SMS or both at the holiday home as has been arranged with the booking agent. Lost keys incur a fee of $30, payable by the guests. If guests have locked themselves out of the property, an additional callout fee of $40 office hours & $60 outside of office hours, is payable by guests.

LINEN & TOWELS – All linen and towels are provided.  PLEASE NOTE any extra beds (linen) used will be charged out at $30 per single bed and $60 per double bed.

UNUSED SERVICES – Where the client chooses to cut short their stay a refund is not available for any unused portion of the booking.

GUESTS RESPONSIBILITY – Guests are expected to respect and take good care of the property entrusted to them. This includes all furnishings and equipment. All properties have a NO SMOKING POLICY failure to respect this policy will result in extra cleaning and dry-cleaning costs and nightly rates while property is being cleaned. Any faults, damages or breakages must be reported to the Booking Agent. Guests will be liable for any breakages or damages caused to the property during the guests holiday occupation and all costs of repair and replacement shall be either taken from the bond before refund or deducted from credit card pre auth by the Booking Agent. It is the responsibility of the guests to ensure that all doors and windows are securely locked and that the property is left clean and tidy with dishes washed and put away and BBQ cleaned. Any extra cleaning will be charged at $55 per hour. If BBQ is not left clean as you found it there will be a $55 fee from your bond.

ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS AND CONDITIONS – Payment of a deposit will confirm you have read and agreed to these terms and conditions.

CANCELLATIONS & INSURANCE – Where written notification of a cancellation is received no less than 28 days in advance of the holiday, consideration may be given to allow the guest to transfer the booking (of the same house only) to another date, less transfer fee of $100. Where written notification of a cancellation is received less than 28 days in advance of the holiday, the guest shall be liable for payment of the full rental whether or not occupation of the holiday house occurs. The deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable to another property. Guests are strongly advised to take out comprehensive holiday & travel insurance to cater for any unforeseen circumstances, including contracting or being in close contact of the covid 19 virus. Please view individual property cancelation policy as they may vary slightly.

LIABILITY – In consideration that Experience Augusta acts as the Booking Agent and uses all reasonable endeavours to ensure accuracy of information and quality of facilities, no liability is accepted for any claim as a result of problems that occur at the property, or for any loss or personal injury or illness, however caused, while guests occupy the property.

LOST PROPERTY – Experience Augusta does not accept liability for finding or returning lost property. It is the responsibility of guests to check before departure that personal belongings have not been left in the house. A minimum charge of $55 plus the cost of retrieval, post and packaging (paid in advance by credit charge) will apply if any lost property is to be returned to guests.
